Happy Halloween from Lanesboro!  A year ago, we had about 5" of wet, heavy snow which caused school to be cancelled and left everyone guessing how should we trick-or-treat?  Too many of us had blocked the memories of Halloween 1991 or other past wintery Halloweens, so we were in a panic.  But, kids got to trick-or-treat on October 31 and November 1 - they were happy!

Labor Day weekend is here!  From the almost constant rainfall in May and June to a much dryer but comfortable July and August (we won't forget the feels-like 120 degrees on Aug. 16), the summer has been busy and full of lots of fun and memory making.  There is still time to plan for Fall getaway to Lanesboro and the surrounding area, and there are many fun events to attend.

The winter brown is turning spring green, and our daffodils are blooming with the tulips ready next.  Lanesboro and the region have a lot of fun spring events coming up, so we welcome you back to bluff country!

Winter is here, and although we are lacking on the snow, there are plentiful reminders of winter's beauty all around us:  the red dogwood stems standing out in a brown landscape, the ice forming on the bass pond, geese flying overhead, and holiday lights all around.
