Labor Day weekend is here!  From the almost constant rainfall in May and June to a much dryer but comfortable July and August (we won't forget the feels-like 120 degrees on Aug. 16), the summer has been busy and full of lots of fun and memory making.  There is still time to plan for Fall getaway to Lanesboro and the surrounding area, and there are many fun events to attend. Sept. 14-15:  Preston Historical Society Fall Tractor Ride - don't miss the parade of vintage tractors coming through the area.  Learn more here.

Sat., Sept. 21:  Preston Pop-Up Market.  Multiple artists and vendors in downtown Preston. Learn more here.

Sat., Sept. 21:  Preston Fire Department Sportsmen's Raffle & Dance at the Preston Serviceman's Club.  Learn more here.

Sat., Sept. 21:  Lanesboro Fall Boutique & Business Crawl and Fall Craft Beer & Wine Fest - shop and dine throughout town where shops and restaurants have special deals, samples, and more!  There will be seven artisan vendors at Parkway Place (empty lots downtown) and raffle prizes to enter for at Stone Mill Clothing & Gifts (from 12-4pm).  Find out more on the event website or on Facebook.

Sat., Sept. 28:  Lanesboro Arts presents 'Stay With, A Musical Gathering, Reckoning, & Listening Project' with Ben Weaver - at St. Mane Theatre (tickets through Lanesboro Arts).

Sat., Oct. 7:  Fall into Lanesboro - a family-friendly day with free wagon rides (11am-3pm), free mini pumpkin painting, live music, kids get to try Norwegian instruments, downtown scavenger hunt, and more!  

Sat., Oct. 19:  High Ropes Challenge at Eagle Bluff Environmental Learning Center

Sat., Oct. 26:  Trick or Treetops High Rope Challenge at Eagle Bluff Environmental Learning Center

Thurs., Oct. 31:  Downtown trick or treating from 3-5pm 

Throughout the Fall (Fridays-Mondays):  Live Owl Programs at 11am and 2pm at the International Owl Center in Houston, MN
