Our 32nd Year!

In March 2025, we reopened to guests after a few months of winter projects and improvements, and we are thrilled to say we are in our 32nd year!  Our Inn has lasted for over three decades because of you: you that come to Lanesboro and beautiful bluff country to have a break, bike the trails, float down the river, shop for unique finds, indulge in local treats, celebrate a milestone, meet up with a group of friends, host a family reunion, hunt in our woodlands, and so much more.  We are forever grateful for you as you choose to spend your vacation days and dollars in bluff country.  In 2025, Lanesboro will open new businesses, transfer ownership of a few businesses, and host many fun festivals and events.  Here are just a few fun things coming up this Spring:

Happy 95th Marilyn!

Another milestone this year was the 95th birthday of our origial Innkeeper, the OG, Marilyn Bunge.  Marilyn celebrated her 95th birthday with over 60 cards and a few phone calls from family and friends.  For our repeat guests who came from 1993 to about 2007, Marilyn remembers you all and loved the opportunity to show you her hospitality, jam, baked goods, and warm smile. With her husband Waldo, they got our business up and running, and our reputation established, to be "Your Inn When You're Out."  We carry on our family's legacy with our current owners, Andy, Mary & Eric, (Waldo and Marilyn's three children), and Alison as our current manager (Waldo and Marilyn's granddaughter).  Cheers to you Marilyn and the standards you set at the Cottage House for cleanliness and friendliness!
