Fall is in full swing in Lanesboro with some gorgeous shades of red, maroon, yellow, and orange still on the trees. The temperatures have turned a little cooler, but we still await our first frost. The fall season brings many events to Lanesboro, including the Taste of the Trail in September, Fall Craft Beer & Wine Fest, family-friendly Fall into Lanesboro on the first Saturday of October, the Filthy 50 bike ride with 1000 riders on the second Saturday of October, a Halloween-themed high ropes course at Eagle Bluff Environmental Learning Center on Oct. 30, and a downtown business trick or treating on Oct. 31. It is truly amazing what this little town accomplishes together to execute all of these events to continue to make Lanesboro a fun and welcoming place for locals and visitors.
There is still time to escape to Lanesboro before it gets too cold to bike or hike. The bike trails and hiking trails are just beautiful with the fall colors and sightings of white-tailed deer, bald eagles, wild turkeys, red-tailed hawks, and more. The Commonweal Theatre still has two plays to come and experience Thursdays-Sundays, and they are in rehearsals for their holiday show, A Christmas Carol. Lanesboro Arts has an exhibition through December and a concert at the St. Mane Theatre on Nov. 12. It is also a great time to get your holiday shopping started, or completed, by shopping in town where you can find unique gifts from kid and fair-trade items (The Peddler), gorgeous jewelry (Crown Trout Jewelers, Windy Mesa, & Spellbound Atelier), home decor and goods (Amish Experience & Emil Farqart's), quilting supplies and gifts (Cheryl's Fabric Garden), stylish women's clothing, shoes, and purses (Stone Mill Clothing & Gifts, E2 Boutique, & Beautiful Something), men's clothing and socks (E2 Boutique), fishing gear (Root River Rod Co), art, purses, and more (Lanesboro Arts). There is no worry of supply chain and gift shopping issues in Lanesboro! Lanesboro will celebrate Small Business Saturday during their Experience the Magic of Lanesboro event on Saturday, Nov. 27, 2021.
We look forward to welcoming you this Fall for an overnight or day-trip stay in Lanesboro!
